only the size of my head

*sigh*  I wish this headache were some kind of April Fool's joke.

Getting online once a week to check my email just isn't cutting it anymore.  My husband is running his first half marathon at the end of May.  So between him running about five nights a week and playing table tennis two nights a week, and our traveling to visits inlaws, I don't have a whole lot of free time.

So I'm sorry if I haven't been replying to everyone's emails and such but thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

D - hope everything's going well for you in lock-up.  Hopefully you're still scheduled for release soon.  Hopefully some day we won't be so busy that you have to send sallutations through your bald headed messenger.  lol

Anyway... I better go get lunch for the toddler.  It looks like she's got all my cookie cutters out again...

updatey update

Just an update so that you all know I'm still out here somewhere (trust me, some times I don't know where I am... ok, most of the time).

N is almost two monthes old (on Saturday).  Life has been somewhat hectic and I've only been on the internet for an average of two hours per week.  Thats not much when you calculate in the time it takes to download a webpage using aol dial up.  What can I say, we's poo'.

As for myself I messure my days according to how much sleep I am getting.  When I do manage to get some free time I don't usually get online because I feel bad that I'm not a) getting somthing done that needs gettting done, or b) sleeping ("Yeah!  Sleep, thats where I'm a viking!")

Daughter also keeps me pretty busy.  Today she threw a stuffed animal in the toilet when I tried to get her to go to the bathroom.  On top of that Sonny boy had just had another diaper "blowout".  Dang you Huggies! I shake my fist at thee.

I appreciate all the comments and such.  I realize thats a two way street or some other lame line, but I am reading your blogs too.  Uhm probably.  Most likely, if I actually know who you are and you're not some random person wondering by.  I don't promise to read your blog if thats the case.

Anyway.  My time is running out for now.

Laterz |)

ps.  D - I was going to email you but I see from your blog your busy on some cracked out test or something.  Thought the chitt munk entry was hilarious but scary.  A loved the pictures.

Rav - thats so cool.  Enjoy your new car smell

and the rest - thanks for reading my blog even though I never update it.

mmmm.... cold, refreshing benzene

Nice.  Enjoy the excerts from this article I found on Yahoo!
BEIJING - A Chinese city of 3.8 million people closed schools and was trucking in drinking water Wednesday after shutting down its water system following a chemical plant explosion that officials said polluted a nearby river with toxic benzene.

The water system was shut down at midnight Tuesday and probably will stay out of service for four days, said an official of its Municipal Water Supply Group. He would give only his surname, Chen.

An explosion Nov. 13 at a chemical plant in the nearby city of Jilin left the Songhua River, Harbin's main water source, polluted with benzene, a toxic, flammable liquid, the government said.

A doctor from the Ningjiang District Central Hospital and a teacher from Ningjiang No. 1 Middle School said the water had been cut off for between five to seven days already. Both refused to give their names when reached by telephone.  There is no sign that benzene got into the city water system, said an employee of the Harbin Environmental Bureau who would give only his surname, Wang.

The explosion in Jilin killed five people and forced the evacuation of 10,000 others. It was blamed on human error in a tower that processed benzene. The disaster highlighted the precarious state of China's water supplies. The government says all of China's major rivers are dangerously polluted. Russian television reports said Wednesday that concern was growing over the pollution threat in the Russian border city of Khabarovsk, about 435 miles down river from Harbin on the Songhua

Families prepared by filling buckets and bathtubs with water while the government said supplies were still safe, according to state media. A front-page photo in the China Daily newspaper showed a grade school classroom with buckets of water lined up behind the students.

Fred is Furry for Fury

We went to see the local hockey team play on Saturday night.  We saw the Fury play... and lose their first game this season (10-1 now).  D'oh!  Oh well at least I know they were grobbed.  There were actually three questionable no goal calls during the game.  And I know at least one of them was a goal.  I don't really know how they figure it wasn't.

The fun part was that we took our Daughter along.  It was quite interesting to see a 19 month old's reactions to everthing that went on at the game.  My husband got $4 tickets through his employer, so we figured, what the heck, even if we only stay a little while, it'll be fun.  Well, we ended up staying the whole game.  By the end Daughter was very tired, but she wasn't getting crabby so we stayed till the end of the game.

The home team's intro was a little scary to her.  I think it might have been the lights going out and the insanely loud noise level.  I mean, really, my 93 year old grandfather could have heard everything they were saying.  But after they toned that down a little and started playing, she got right into the game.  Every time they would play a little snippet of song between action, she would start to dance around.  It was really quite funny and everyone around us seemed to enjoy it.

Husband's friend from work sat next to us and his daughter K and our daughter really enjoyed "talking" and pointing at one another throughout the game. :)

All in all it was a lot of fun and I'm glad we decided to go instead of staying home because we were too nervous about taking the toddler out with us.

Move over Mr. Flibble

In an effort to post something interesting, I'll tell you all a little cute story about my kid.  Because we all know how single, childless people like to hear their friends go on and on about their kids and the "cute" things they do.

All week, for the most part, whenever me or my husband go into our daughter's room to get her out of her crib (after a nap or in the morning), she has one of her socks on her hand.  I'm pretty sure its always the sock off of the right foot and it always ends up on the right hand (which isn't that strange, because I believe she is right handed).  But still.... I have no idea why she would want to put a sock on her hand.

My sister in law thinks that that's what we've been hearing in her room before she falls asleep.  You see she usually "talks" to one of her stuffed animals/dolls/blanket for about twenty minutes before she finally goes to sleep.  B thinks maybe she's been making her own sock puppet.

Of course she's also kissed the Elmo on the front of a clean diaper before.

So move over Mr. Flibble, because you're making Sockie very, very cross.  LOL

Its all very strange but it just goes to show that she's deffinitely my kid.
